Hand-poured; not printed. No plastic 3D printing, no automated production. Every relief map is hand-cast from a 3D model and a mold made in my workshop - under the rooftops of Paris - and fitted with a numbered cork backing. The concrete casting faithfully renders the massif's profile with precision, along with that cold, dense, mineral feel that echoes volcanic rock.
A timeless design: This relief fits naturally in a contemporary interior as much as in an adventurer's or traveler's décor. It settles effortlessly on a desk, a shelf, or a coffee table. And because each piece is hand-poured, slight variations in tone and texture may appear - that's what makes your summit unique.
The perfect gift for lovers of Africa and altitude: Give someone a summit they've climbed, dream of climbing, or simply admire. Mountaineers, globe-trotters, lovers of raw, beautiful objects - this sculpture is made for them.
Order & Shipping: Sculptures are available in stock, ready to ship. Wooden bases are made to order - production time: 3 to 4 business days. Each piece is packaged in a cardboard box padded with wood wool, then shipped via tracked Colissimo.
Kilimanjaro, the Roof of Africa: Located in northeastern Tanzania, Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak and the world's tallest free-standing mountain, with its Uhuru Peak - "freedom" in Swahili - rising to 5,895 meters. A volcanic massif made up of three cones: Kibo at the center, Mawenzi to the east, and Shira to the west. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it is one of the Seven Summits and featured on Tanzania's national coat of arms. It is this profile - massive, glacial, African - that this sculpture seeks to capture.
